Dr. Milner serves as Director of the Burn Fellowship Program. Clinical education is an important component of the Burn Center’s mission. This provides numerous educational programs for residents, medical students and other healthcare professionals throughout the state and country.

His mentees have established positions all over the country. He also trains residents from the other institutions: including University of Maryland, Union Memorial Hospital, Shock Trauma, Penn State Hershey Hospital, Sinai Hospital, St Agnes Hospital,York Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Milner has founded, one of the first open access journals, the Journal of Burns and Surgical Wound Care, in 2000, and ePlasty in 2005 which provides articles to a growing audience nationally and internationally in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He has received numerous awards for outstanding teaching.Lectured the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia, Kenya, Taiwan, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
